Live Streaming / Event Production Technician

Job Description:
The Live Streaming / Event Production Technician is responsible for preparing and operating the technical systems that deliver ENM’s live and hybrid events. Working with the producer and venue team, this person turns the event plan into a stable program feed by integrating cameras, production audio, presentation content, remote presenters, captions or ASL, recording, and online distribution. The technician leads pre-event testing, monitors the show in real time, documents issues, and helps ensure each event is accessible, professionally presented, and reliably recorded.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, test, operate, and break down cameras, switchers, encoders, computers, audio interfaces, monitors, and related event-production equipment.
- Confirm internet connectivity, platform access, recording settings, presentation playback, and backup plans before going live.
- Monitor stream health, audio levels, program output, recordings, and remote participant feeds during events.
- Support platforms and tools such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, OBS, vMix, or comparable systems based on project requirements.
- Troubleshoot technical issues methodically and escalate risks promptly to the ENM production lead.
- Follow accessibility, confidentiality, safety, venue, and client requirements throughout the assignment.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience supporting live, hybrid, or live-streamed productions in professional environments.
- Working knowledge of video signal flow, production audio, switching, encoding, recording, presentations, and network-dependent workflows.
- Ability to remain calm, communicate clearly, and solve problems during time-sensitive events.
- Familiarity with captions, ASL integration, remote presenters, or accessible event workflows is preferred.
- Reliable transportation and availability for setup, rehearsal, event, and breakdown schedules.
- Two professional references and any relevant technical certifications or equipment details.
